This target shell is loaded with a normal amount of #7.5 shot. But the shot pellets themselves are exceptional, as they are made of high-antimony lead. That makes each pellet significantly harder than standard target grade shot, and therefore more resistant to deformation when ignition jarringly propels it down the barrel.
This shell uses another good trick to promote tighter patterning: the Podium. It’s a one-piece plastic wad with a uniquely shaped compression zone (hard to describe, but picture a sideways cylinder buttressed by four diagonal trusses). The podium squashes down on ignition to cushion the shot against recoil. It cushions the shooter against recoil, too!
High Over All series ammo is designed with the handloader in mind, too. You’ll love reloading this ammo’s single-piece plastic hulls and easy-to-resize solid brass heads.
