This ammunition is designed for 20 Gauge shotguns with rifled bores only.

Maybe you’d rather go deer hunting with a rifle but have to use a shotgun. Maybe you’d rather go deer hunting with lead but have to use copper. But Federal’s Trophy Copper 20 Gauge ammunition is so accurate and deadly, it doesn’t feel like a compromise at all. It feels like an upgrade.

This shell is loaded with a 5/8 ounce solid copper polymer tipped sabot slug. Federal’s plastic sabot creates excellent alignment within a rifled bore, and is designed to cleanly detach from the projectile immediately following expulsion from the barrel to promote excellent accuracy. The slug’s smooth profile and sharp polymer tip both sharpen its ballistic efficient to 0.171. The Minnesotan manufacturer boasts that their monolithic slug delivers sub-4” groups at 200 yards!

When it strikes its target, the slug’s tip rams into the underlying nose cavity to unleash devastating terminal expansion. The externally skived slug opens up reliably even at lower velocities, so you’ll be able to quickly anchor pretty much any quarry you could hit.

A copper slug doesn’t just avoid polluting the environment. It also keeps your venison cleaner, and resists fragmentation that could cause it to lose momentum and penetrate to too shallow a depth. This ammo proves we shouldn’t be wasting copper by using it to make wiring and pennies!
