You want to make some impact on the environment, but none larger than bagging a few of the beautiful upland game birds that call it home. Seeding the ground with little lead beads that could gradually contaminate the ground water? That’s just not for you, which is why you hunt with steel shot. This 20 Gauge shotshell by Federal is perfect for any friend of the environment, as well as anyone who’s hunting where lead projectiles are banned.

This shell is loaded with 3/4 ounces of #7.5 steel shot. Those 0.095” diameter pellets are exceedingly popular for hunting, as they’re ideal for anchoring a number of smaller birds including grouse, partridge, rail, and woodcock. Steel is less dense than lead and can deliver less energy on impact as the result – but with this shell’s supercharged 1,500 fps muzzle velocity, steel retains the energy it needs to make a nice, clean kill. Still, #7.5 shot is known to cause only very little maiming at practical hunting ranges, so you’ll be able to pose with picturesque trophies at the end of your day stalking the field!

This shell also includes an even patterning wad what will protect your shotgun’s bore from becoming scratched up by hard steel shot. Its propellant burns clean, and its reliable primer is designed not to coat your action and bore with residues that could harm them.
