A versatile upland game load that can also be used to bust clays at the range, this 20 gauge load from Winchester comes in a 250 shell case ideal for high volume use. As with all 20 gauge ammo, these shells are packaged with distinctive yellow hulls that improve safety by helping to prevent accidental loading into 12 gauge shotguns.
Each 2-3/4" shell in this case fires a one-ounce column of #7.5 birdshot at a muzzle velocity of 1,220 feet per second. This results in dense patterns ideal for a variety of birds, small game, and clay targets. Due to its limited penetration, this ammo is not suitable for hunting larger game or self defense.
Winchester ammo has been loaded in Oxford, Mississippi since 2011. Although well known for its classic firearms, Winchester is primarily an ammunition manufacturer; while Winchester guns are made by licensees such as FN, their ammo is still loaded in-house.
