These shells are designed to break clay targets and can work well against upland birds and small game as well. They lack the penetration needed for self-defense against human assailants, a job better suited to buckshot.
Fiocchi ammunition is loaded in one of two places: Lecco, Italy and Ozark, Missouri. The Ozark plant produces the majority of Fiocchi ammo sold in the US, especially shotshells like these.
