Eco-conscious upland hunters would rather keep toxic lead far away from their favorite immaculate hunting grounds. But they’re still hunters, so they want ammo that can anchor their game fast and painlessly. Hevi-Shot’s HEVI-Hammer Upland line of ammunition represents the best of both worlds by combining the power of steel and bismuth!

This 12 Gauge shotshell’s 1-3/8 ounce column of #3 shot is divided into two layers. At the bottom lies a layer of traditional 7.8 g/cc density steel; at the top sits a layer of 9.6g/cc density bismuth. Bismuth shot’s superior density and resultant momentum means that it delivers almost 50% more knockdown power than steel shot at 40 yards– a massive advantage when you have to keep a healthy amount of distance between yourself and your quarry.

This ammo’s #3 bismuth shot pellets are so dense that their performance is equivalent to that of #2 steel shot pellets. This ammo’s full-length wads will keep its abrasive shot from ruining your shotgun’s bore before they pattern their payloads tightly and accurately. Hevi-Shot’s sensitive primers and clean-burning powder deliver the fast 1,350 fps muzzle velocity steel needs to remain effective downrange.
