The risk of getting wet is just part and parcel of going goose hunting. We can’t help help you from getting your feet damp. We can’t prevent the sandwich you packed from getting soggy, either. But thanks to Winchester’s DryLok Super Steel line of shotgun ammunition, we can at least make sure water won’t impact your shotgun’s performance when honkers are on the line.

This shell’s propellant is guarded on both sides: by a lacquered primer, and by a two-piece wad specifically designed to combat water infiltration. And even if some water does get into the shot column, Winchester’s fully plated steel shot will resist becoming corroded!

This long shell is loaded with 1-1/2 ounces of BB shot, so about 108 sizeable pellets in all. Steel shot is lightweight, but this shell’s swift 1,475 fps muzzle velocity certainly helps to make up for that. This shell’s pattern remains extremely tight and effective for killing geese as well – not just because it is so spherical and resistant to rusting, but also because Winchester’s unique two-piece wad is further designed to create a tight seal which traps in propellant gasses throughout ignition, thus promoting consistent ballistics.
