Duck. It’s not the most ferocious American game you could hunt. Duck attacks are infrequent, and they are more amusing than they are dangerous. But does that mean you should carry 12 Gauge ammo that lacks the stopping power you need to anchor a duck pronto? Hardly! That’s why you need Winchester’s Super-X shells.

This is a magnum shell: 3” long so it can store 1-1/4 ounces of #3 steel shot and the powder it needs to propel the payload to a muzzle velocity of 1,400 fps. The 4 dram equivalent round quite capably compensates for steel pellets’ relatively lower density, so you can count on dealing the decisive blow which knocks a duck out of orbit without fail.

Winchester makes their nontoxic shot pellets truly spherical and screens them repeatedly to confirm they are all 0.140" in diameter. Their Xpert steel shot is treated for added corrosion resistance, which assures the pellets don’t become too coarse to hold a narrow pattern at long range.

This shell’s full-length and high-density shot cup stops its hard shot from scraping up the barrel. The wad itself is designed to collapse under pressure, which only serves to reduce felt recoil considering just how hard steel pellets are. Clean-burning propellant, trusty primers and reloadable high-brass hulls complete the picture!
