This 12 Gauge shotshell is what is known as a “less lethal” load. We wish to emphasize that less lethal ammo can still kill – hence the reason it’s not called “non-lethal.” Do not treat this ammo like a toy, and do not fire it at anything you wouldn’t want to destroy.

Don’t fire it against a solid surface, either, because it’s loaded with two 0.60” diameter rubber balls! The rubber balls aren’t all that heavy (though we have not yet discerned their precise weight), and loaded to a three-digit muzzle velocity they are far more likely to momentarily subdue a threat than outright incapacitate it.

Law enforcement professionals would use ammo like this for riot control and other situations where lethal force is not merited. Even if you are not a law enforcement professional, you may still purchase and own less lethal ammo.

This Czech-made shotshell functions just like any other, with a primer that ignites a charge of powder to create rapid propulsion. It will not generate adequate pressure to cycle a semi-automatic shotgun.
