A: Thanks for reaching out Jose! This 12 Gauge ammo is certainly good for home defense, but I can't promise less wall penetration than you'd expect from any other 12ga 00 buck shell. At the very least I can say that this shell's copper-plated shot pellets are tight-patterning. That gives you a better probability of landing more shot pellets on target, although many may still miss. If you want to significantly reduce the risk of wall penetration, then you could consider a shell loaded with #1 or #4 buck: https://www.luckygunner.com/shotgun/12-gauge-ammo-shells?jacket_type=1073%2C1081 Those shot sizes are still effective for close-range self-defense, but the smaller, lighter buckshot pellets also have a lower risk of penetrating multiple layers of sheet rock. To be certain, no shell can eliminate the risk of wall penetration.

A: Thanks for reaching out Angel! This shell is absolutely powerful enough to quickly neutralize a threat to your personal safety. Together its eight pellets of 00 buck have a combined muzzle energy of approximately 1,250 ft lbs – roughly on par with the U.S. Army's M4 carbine. If you land all eight pellets on the target the effect is pretty comparable to shooting said target eight times simultaneously with a 32 ACP handgun. This 12ga ammo is pretty much the same thing cops would use out in the field, and they're not taking any needless chances. I personally keep ammo just like this loaded in the shotgun under my bed!
