This case of 12 Gauge ammunition comes from Sellier & Bellot of the Czech Republic, and it’s all you need to get serious about target shooting! Packaged 10 rounds per box, 25 boxes per case, you can take some to the range and set the rest aside for the kind of rainy day that can be made better with a shotgun.
This shell is loaded with 1-1/8 ounces of 00 buckshot and achieves 1,214 fps muzzle velocity. The shell’s combined muzzle energy is 1,611 ft lbs, which means each of the nine 0.33” diameter shot pellets has a muzzle energy of approximately 179 ft lbs. Sellier & Bellot’s hard lead prevents deformation during ignition that could harm pattern density, as well as deformation on impact that could shorten penetration depth.
This shell is loaded with a felt wad instead of a high-tech plastic one, but it still gets the job done well enough. We can’t say for certain whether this ammo will cycle your semi-automatic, but its dram equivalent of 3 is right in the slot as far as certain self-loaders are concerned. Clear plastic hulls make this ammo easy to identify, and its brass heads are 0.49” in length.
