If you wanted to design the perfect 3-gun shooting slug, you couldn’t ask for help from a much better expert than world champion shooter Jerry Miculek. (Look the fella up if you haven’t seen him in action before. Trying to dodge his shots would be like trying to stay dry in the rain.) That’s why Fiocchi sought out the authority when they developed this 12 Gauge rifled slug load for competition.

This shell’s rifled slug weighs 7/8 ounces, and is coated in red teflon. That does more than just make the shell look neat; It also keeps smoke from obscuring your steel target as you’re launching shot after shot after it. This shell’s hull is made of clear plastic, so it’s easy to differentiate it from your other loads, and its firm, radiused crimp assists greatly with rapid reloading. This slug is designed for a smooth bore barrel, but it will still do fine in a rifled barrel as well.

Even when they’re not consulting with Mr. Mucilek, Fiocchi knows how to make great shotgun ammunition. This shell’s clean burning propellant charge consistently delivers a 1,300 fps muzzle velocity, so your aim won’t be thrown off by some manufacturing defect.
