BioAmmo’s Rex line of ammunition was designed by Spanish Olympic medalist Jorge Guardiola. But this 12 Gauge trap and sporting clay ammo doesn't just meet an Olympian’s high standards. It is also completely plastic-free!

BioAmmo makes tubes and wads out of their proprietary biopolymer material. This material is hard enough to ensure reliable performance, yet also compostable. Because they are edible to all the harmless microscopic critters that live in water and on top of soil, BioAmmo’s biopolymer hulls and wads will disappear completely in about two years’ time. That's great if you have your own backyard target shooting range and don’t want permanent litter all over your property.

This shell is loaded with 7/8 ounces of #8 lead shot. The lightweight column of shot will not register very much felt recoil – especially as the shell’s biopolymer wad collapses at its base during ignition. The wad also sports wide side vents, enabling it to erect petals following ignition to guarantee clean and even separation from the shot. Tight patterns!

BioAmmo shotshells can be stored in normal conditions for at least five years.
