BioAmmo makes the most environmentally friendly shotshell on the market. Not only is this 12 Gauge trap and sporting clays shell loaded with steel shot, which cannot poison birds and other small animals – it is also plastic-free!

This shell’s hull and wad are both made out of biopolymer. It is a special material which BioAmmo developed and patented themself, and if left on the ground it will be devoured by microorganisms and fungus within a couple of years. You can stick the hulls in the trash or your compost heap if you like, but you can count on all the wads you scatter around to disappear a lot quicker than plastic ever could have.

The wad features wide vents to promote more consistent patterning as they force the extension of fins outward following ignition. The full-length wad also crushes down as it cradles the #7 steel shot during ignition – you’re going to appreciate how that makes recoil feel a little lighter.

BioAmmo shotshells can be stored in normal conditions for at least five years.
