This is a light load, as far as its shot column is concerned. A 7/8 ounce pile of #7.5 shot is small, relatively speaking, so you’ll “only” have 306 shot pellets to work with. But thanks to the round’s 1,335 fps muzzle velocity, it still has a respectable 3-1/4 dram equivalent and ought to build up enough pressure to operate a semi-auto because of it.
High Over All shot is 5% antimony. That makes the lead extremely hard, and accordingly capable of accelerating so quickly without very much accompanying deformation. The Podium wad, which features a donut-shaped compression zone, does a great deal more to reduce deformation in addition to felt recoil.
A High Over All hull is a handloader’s dream. Capped with solid brass and designed to accept a wide variety of component wads, it’d be a shame to leave it wherever it falls on the ground.
