This 12 Gauge shell features a 385 grain slug, with a polycarbonate tip that makes it intensely aerodynamic. So high is this .58 caliber slug’s ballistic coefficient (0.145) that it groups like a cloverleaf at 100 yards, at which point it still retains 57 percent of its muzzle energy. Accurate and powerful!
The Power Port Tip is also extremely durable, with a jacket made of cartridge brass that delivers over 95 percent weight retention even at close range. The big slug’s jacket also features spiral nose cuts, which together ensure the inward momentum of the tip yields highly uniform terminal expansion. Put terminal performance like that anywhere near a deer’s vitals and venison is just over the horizon.
Remington’s whitetail-crumpler is loaded with a high density polymer sabot, reliable primer, uniform charge of propellant that is formulated to leave the bore immaculate following ignition, and sturdy plastic hull and brass head.
Please note: Sabot slugs are designed exclusively for use in rifled bore shotguns. This shell would deliver unacceptably poor acuracy out of a smoothbore.
