These particular shotshells are charged with a single ounce of #9 shot. Loaded to a muzzle velocity of 1,200 fps, you won’t experience a lot of recoil firing this ammo, especially thanks to Fiocchi’s hinged wad that absorbs some jarring energy. #9 shot of course is extremely well suited for skeet, although you’ll find it of great utility for trap and sporting clays as well. This shot is made of chilled lead, so it contains relatively less antimony that would have made it less dense. That means more momentum downrange, which offers a real advantage when you’re reaching for the farthest clay pigeons!
