It’s the next generation of 12 Gauge target ammunition! BioAmmo of Spain and Olympic medalist Jorge Guardiola designed this Clay Lead series ammunition so anyone can play their best round of skeet, sporting clays or trap. Each shotgun shell is loaded with 1 ounce of #8 lead shot, with an aggressively hinged wad to minimize felt recoil and pellet deformation alike. The wad features four side vents and four horizontal vents, each of which help the shot column detach clean and fly downrange in a narrow pattern.

But that’s not what makes this ammo special. Each shell’s wad and hull are made of the same material: BioAmmo’s patented “biopolymer,” which is based on corn instead of petroleum. Whether it’s left on the ground or stuck into a compost heap, microorganisms will chow down on biopolymer until it’s completely broken down into water, carbon dioxide and mineral salts. Instead of littering, you’re feeding hungry fungi. Nice! Take care that this ammo isn’t reloadable, and that its shelf life under normal conditions is at least 5 years.
