You want to hunt birds – not give them birth defects. Or, barring that, you may just be planning a hunt in an area where a ban on lead projectiles is currently in effect. In either event, you can rest assured that Federal Upland Steel 12 Gauge ammunition will let you hunt your preferred upland game without scattering toxic lead all over the place!

This shotshell is loaded with one ounce of #7.5 steel shot. Steel is only about 73% as dense as lead shot, which means it hits with relatively less force at the same velocity. That’s why Federal supercharged this round’s velocity to an abnormally high 1,375 fps. It helps those 0.095” diameter steel pellets reach their target with plenty of deadly kinetic energy!

One advantage of steel shot is its dense spread. It’s too rigid to undergo deformation during acceleration, which translates to plenty of potent pellets on target. Federal’s tight-patterning wad does even more to enhance this round’s killing power. Hot-igniting primers and fast-burning powder both minimize this ammo’s fouling, and high-quality hulls make it reloadable. Made in Minnesota!
