Do an internet search on the word “Rio” and you’ll learn a lot about either the city in Brazil or some cartoon with blue parrots. We don’t know about either of those things. To us Rio stands for consistent quality and reliable performance while you’re out bagging clays.

Here we have some of Rio’s best for the trapshooting enthusiast. This 12 Gauge shotshell is loaded with a full 1-1/8 ounce column of #8 lead shot, the long range and effective pattern of which have made it popular from backyards to Olympic showdowns. Rio’s single-base powder and matched wad create a 1,150 fps muzzle velocity, moderate muzzle pressure, and consistent pattern. Rio’s antimony-hardened shot wont get mashed down throughout ignition, helping you put more 0.09” pellets on your target no matter how far it’s flown away.

Rio’s parent company MAXAM was founded about 150 years ago by the inventor of dynamite. This shell is dynamite indeed, but only figuratively so with its sensitive primer and clean burning powder. Make sure to save a durable Target Load Trap hull to reload back at central command.
