This shell is loaded with a normal amount of shot: 1-1/8 ounces, which is the heaviest shot column you’re usually allowed to compete with. Its lower recoil is the product of a tamer powder charge, which accelerates the shot to a velocity of 1,100 fps – about 100 to 200 fps lower than normal. Remington’s Power Piston wad softens out recoil even more as its hinged midsection mops up recoil energy while it gets crushed during ignition.
Gun Club Grade Shot shot isn’t high-antimony, but it gets the job done nevertheless. Number 8 is a great shot size for trap and sporting clays! These shotshells’ reloadable hulls contain clean-burning powder, hot-burning and noncorrosive Premier STS primers, and Power Piston wads that designed to improve pattern consistency. So long as you don’t expect it to cycle a semi-automatic, you’ll love this ammo!
