Federal Premium’s High Over All shotgun ammunition is intended for serious competitions: where trophies and pride are both at stake. But here’s what we say. If you just want a leg up on your pals – or simply want to train with the best 12 Gauge target ammo ever to roll out of the great state of Minnesota – then High Over All ammo has every right to fill your shotgun’s chambers.

This shell is loaded with a full 1-1/8 ounce payload of #7.5 shot. It’s made of high-antimony lead, which makes the pellets extra rigid so as to prevent them from flattening down under intense pressure. That keeps flyaway pellets at a bare minimum, so you can reliably direct thick clouds of shot at your targets.

Federal’s Podium is a unique wad, with a cylindrical compression zone that excels at soaking up recoil energy. That keeps the shot even safer from deformation. It also reduces the amount of recoil you’ll have to put up with, so you can shoot more comfortably and with less muzzle flip to compensate for while you’re doing the one-two boogaloo at the skeet course.

If you’re a handloader, then you won’t want to let this ammo’s empty hulls hit the ground. They’re outfitted with solid brass heads and tapered tubes that willingly accept a huge variety of different manufacturers’ wads, so they make optimal foundations for handloads.
