Federal’s Gold Medal line of shotgun ammunition has remained a staple at prestigious competitions including the ATA Grand American for many years. This Grand label shell continues that tradition of excellence!

This shell’s #7.5 shot is made of a special lead alloy. Strengthened by the addition of five percent antimony, it resists deformation to establish a dense, efficient pattern over great distances. This shell’s two-stage wad creates a tighter pattern than a traditional one-piece, and its fast burning propellant lessens muzzle pressure that can result in a weaker pattern.

Federal showcases their SoftCell technology in this shell’s wad as well. It contains an air pocket that absorbs substantial energy, delaying and reducing the amount of recoil that will dig into your shoulder. If you plan to shoot a lot in a single day or would just like to make a single game far more comfortable, SoftCell technology is going to noticeably improve your experience.

This shell’s hull is made of traditional heavy duty paper instead of plastic. Its solid brass head makes certain it feeds and extracts with all due reliability, and its non-corrosive primer doesn’t hesitate to translate the stroke of a firing pin into surefire ignition.
