You know that nagging sense of guilt you feel whenever you can’t retrieve one of your empty hulls? That’s because you know plastic isn’t biodegradable, and that hull could easily spend hundreds of years sitting on the ground or in the water. But when you take BioAmmo’s ammunition out duck hunting, your plastic litter worries are over.

This special 12 Gauge waterfowl shell contains no plastic. Both its hull and its wad are made out of BioAmmo’s high-tech biopolymer. Although it is strong like plastic, vegetable based biopolymer will get completely decomposed by microorganisms living in the soil or the water within two years time. Bring these shells’ hulls home to toss on your compost heap if you please, but rest assured their unobtrusively colored brown wads will not pollute the environment!

BioAmmo takes just as much care to manufacture other high-quality components. This shell’s #5 steel shot pellets are round and uniform in size, and benefit from the fast muzzle velocity which low density steel needs to remain potent at long range. The Spanish company makes equally reliable primers and powder, so the only noticeable change in whatever wetlands you hunt in will be that fewer ducks live there.

BioAmmo shotshells can be stored in normal conditions for at least five years.
