A: Hello Ray! There are 125 pellets of #2 steel shot per ounce. By our math, each one of these shells is loaded with approximately 141 pellets.

A: As you might have guessed, #2 birdshot would indeed be better than nothing. We've talked to guys who live in apartments who keep #9 birdshot in their bedside shotguns because they're so cautious about penetrating their walls. Aimed well, even such small shot could permanently neutralize a target, if you catch our drift. That said, you may wish to use larger BB shot (the largest shot size we have available at this given moment). We also have 12 Gauge ammo by Hornady loaded with expanding slugs. They're designed for deer hunting, so they'd certainly leave a mark on a human-sized target.
