#7.5 lead shot is a widely available shotshell load commonly referred to as “dove shot”. It’s ideal for taking small, fast-moving targets like squirrels, rabbits, quail or pheasant, but the light weight of the individual pellet reduces its effectiveness against larger game. It’s most effective from 35 to 50 yards, and may even be viable for larger birds like turkey inside of 35 yards.
Fiocchi Munizioni (“Fiocchi Ammunition”), founded in 1876, is one of Italy’s oldest ammunition manufacturers. They entered the industry just as breech-loading firearms began to overtake muzzle loaders, and one of their earliest products was a reloadable case. Fiocchi is also known for manufacturing hard-to-find cartridges prized by collectors of older or replica firearms.
