It’s not magic. This cartridge is actually loaded with two separate projectiles: a 135 grain JHP over a 95 grain lead ball. When you fire the round in a Glock 20 (4.61” barrel) its projectiles clear the muzzle at a velocity of 1,040 fps, granting them a combined muzzle energy of 553 ft lbs. (If you have a G29, expect its 3.78” barrel to produce a 1,000 fps muzzle velocity and 511 ft lbs combined muzzle energy.) The JHP travels straight, while the lead ball hits higher – less than 1” at 10 yards, or 2.5” at 25 yards. Just a single shot placed in their center of mass will spell lights out for the threat.
Doubletap was founded by Mike McNett in 2002. He first went into business in order to develop a more effective 10mm cartridge for personal protection, and his efforts speak for themselves. This ammo is loaded in Utah with premium brass and reliable primers. Good for all 10mm firearms – not just the Glocks we gave as examples!
