This is Federal’s Punch line of ammunition, which is engineered to deliver the knockout blow with one pull of the trigger. The 200 grain bullet’s 1,100 fps muzzle velocity was recorded with a 5” test barrel, but even a Glock 20’s shorter 4.61” barrel is due to deliver well over 500 ft lbs of kinetic energy to a threat at close range. That’s close to double the minimum suggestion for personal protection. The jacketed hollow point features a soft lead core that deforms easily under pressure, as well as a symmetrically skived jacket which breaks apart evenly to yield wide-diameter terminal expansion. In short, its JHP only makes matters worse for this powerful cartridge’s target.
This ammunition’s sealed primers protect its sensitive propellant from sweat and humidity, and its Minnesota-made brass cases are straight-walled, strong, and precision cut to ensure reliable extraction.
