Grizzly Cartridge Company wants to keep you safe. From bears! The Oregon manufacturer loads this 10mm ammo for defense against ursine assault, and it can serve you well if you want to take down pretty much any other North American critter as well.

This round’s 200 grain FMJ FP isn’t designed like a normal self-defense bullet. It’s not the preferred choice for neutralizing a human threat, as it cannot expand to maximize trauma or safely embed itself inside the target. The FMJ FP is excellent for neutralizing a large animal precisely because it doesn’t expand. Instead it uses all of its momentum on penetration – the only aspect of terminal ballistics that counts when your attacker’s vitals are shielded by so much hide, fat and muscle.

If you’re attacked by a bear, then we say good luck and to aim for the heart. If you survive the bear attack unharmed, make sure to bend down and pick up this ammo’s reloadable brass cases.
