Hornady Critical Duty ammunition is designed for cops – you know, the guys who might have to neutralize a threat shielded by car doors or safety glass. You’re unlikely to ever have to defend your life against someone seated in a vehicle. But you know what? You’re better off safe than sorry.

This 10mm cartridge sports the 175 grain FlexLock. It’s a robust bullet, with an InterLock band that mechanically fastens its high-antimony lead core and thick copper jacket together. The FlexLock’s jacket may not be bonded, although it still has the durability requisite for effective penetration of barriers and whatever may be hiding behind them.

The FlexLock features the Flex Tip. It’s a column of red polymer that sits in the nose cavity in order to keep it free and clear of debris that could have hampered expansion. The Flex Tip provides added assurance that thick clothing won’t rob the FlexLock of its capacity for broad terminal expansion.

This ammo is loaded with nickel-plated brass cases. They’re smoother feeding. They’re more corrosion resistant. They’re easier to see in the chamber. Hornady gives your eyesight another welcome advantage by loading this ammo with low-flash propellant. It keeps bright muzzle flash from temporarily blinding you at night!
