The XTP has a swaged lead core and extremely concentric gilding metal jacket – two features which enhance rotational stability so that the 155 grain bullet can exhibit a 0.140 G1 ballistic coefficient and resultant flat trajectory. The XTP’s jacket shields the rim of its nose cavity to prevent feeding hang-ups, and it is also progressively tapered toward its base so as to control more uniform terminal expansion.
This round’s 1,500 fps muzzle velocity gives it massive close-range stopping power, which is made all the more ferocious by the XTP’s ability to deliver up to 1.5 times expansion over a wide range of velocities!
This Illinois-made ammo is loaded with flash-suppressed powder. It prevents blinding muzzle flash in the dark, so you won’t lose your night vision and ability to line up accurate follow-up shots. Underwood’s nickel-plated cases reduce friction to support more reliable feeding and extraction, and they are additionally corrosion resistant.
