We would never go so far as to disparage the jacketed hollow point. But it does have its drawbacks. If its nose cavity gets clogged up with debris, there goes its ability to initiate terminal expansion. And if its jacket splinters apart from its core, a JHP may not conserve the momentum it needs to capably defeat a barrier or penetrate sufficiently deep into the threat.

Underwood loads this 10mm cartridge with the Xtreme Penetrator. It lives up to its name because it is made of solid copper. It is tough enough to plow through a barrier without losing one grain of its weight. It also hasn’t got a jacket or a core that could separate from one another. Just 140 grains of solid copper, pressing forward with extreme force.

The Xtreme Penetrator doesn’t have a nose cavity that could trap debris. Its blunt yet smooth-feeding nose profile inflicts superior energy on impact. Its lateral grooves then proceed to create hydraulic pressure, which enables them to scoop up and jet out any soft tissue they encounter.

Lehigh Defense’s Texas-made bullets are loaded in Illinois by Underwood. This ammo features nickel-plated brass cases for more efficient functionality in semi-automatic firearms, as well as greater protection from corrosion. And thanks to its low-flash propellant, you can fire it in a dark environment without losing your eyesight’s adjustment to low lighting.
