Ever since the ‘90s when lead shot was banned for hunting waterfowl, Federal Speed-Shok has made sure the mighty goose hunter has got what he needs to bag big honkers. This 10 Gauge ammo offers the nontoxic yet decisive performance you need to take the biggest Canada geese, snow geese, and we guess even American Buff geese if they’re up to no good on a farm somewhere.

Federal pays attention to the important details when they lay out a Speed-Shok shell. These long shells consistently hold 78 pellets for stable recoil and ballistic performance, which are round, smooth, and uniformly spherical to deliver the tightest pattern steel can accomplish. T shot is just one size too small to qualify as buckshot, so it’s a natural choice for the largest geese.

Ignition is also consistent courtesy of Federal’s high-performance primer and fast-burning propellant. Steel needs a little extra oomph to do its job correctly, and 1,450 fps certainly counts as “extra oomph” in this case. You’ll be glad a 10 Gauge shotgun is a little heavier so it can soak up some of this big shell’s recoil! And you know the drill: Empty this shell out, save Federal’s sturdy hull, and then reload it back at HQ.
