Poongsan Metal Corporation was founded in South Korea in 1968. Today they make everything from coin blanks to roofing materials, but a large part of their business is ensuring that their nation’s military has plenty of ammunition.
During peacetime Poongsan is able to produce much more ammo than the Republic of Korea Armed Forces needs. The ammo they specifically manufacture for the commercial market is labeled Precision Made Cartridges (PMC), and it’s good stuff!
This is 45 ACP training ammo, loaded with a 230 grain full metal jacket and the propellant that bullet needs to achieve a muzzle velocity of 830 fps. Those are precisely the specs the 1911 was designed around, but any 45 ACP handgun will have an easy time running this ammo. Its non-expanding bullet has a lead core and a gilding metal jacket. The projectile contains no steel and is completely nonmagnetic.
