A: No sir. The 7.62x39 cartridge is most frequently fired in the AK-47. It's much smaller than the 308 Win your AR-10 is chambered for. HOWEVER, you can fire 7.62x51 in your 308 rifle as well. They're not strictly identical cartridges, the 308 and the 7.62x51, but they are so similar that SAAMI does not consider it unsafe to fire 7.62x51 in 308 firearms and vice versa.

A: Thanks for reaching out Edward! I regret that we only ship ammunition to recipients who are at least 21 years of age. You can indeed purchase rifle ammunition at a younger age, but we must take extra special caution due to the sensitive nature of our business. I pray you'll understand – I genuinely do wish we could serve you!

A: Hi Keith,
Thanks for reaching out to us! All Wolf Ammunition is now loaded in steel casings that are coated with a polymer coating to ensure reliable feed and function as well as to protect the casing from tarnishing. The lone exception is the white box true military ball (in the generic white box). This is still loaded to the military specifications which call for a more protective lacquer coating. Many shooters feel that while the lacquer coating does better protect the round in a moist environment, the increased debris caused by the lacquer coating flaking during expansion leads to reliability issues in more tightly built rifles such as the AR. For this reason, the polymer is much more in demand by sportsmen.

This ammunition is loaded with a lead core, bi-metal jacketed projectile. Due to the steel content in the jacket, this ammunition will not pass any type of magnet test.
