A: Thanks for asking! This is indeed a centerfire cartridge, as any 5.56x45 cartridge invariarbly will be. Basically, there are two types of centerfire primers: Berdan and Boxer. (They're both named after their inventors.) As far as their performance goes, they're identical. Even the greatest shooter in the land couldn't tell a Berdan apart from a Boxer in practice. The key difference between the two is really only significant if you plan to reload the cartridge. A Boxer is easy to replace, and it doesn't wear down the casing when it's ignited. A Berdan is the opposite, so handloading enthusiasts try to avoid them. Berdan primers are slightly less expensive to manufacture, so you'll often see them used in foreign military surplus ammunition, as well as in steel cased ammunition (because steel casings aren't reloadable for their own reasons). The only other type of primer you'll see is rimfire, which is reserved for smaller cartridges like 22 LR and 22 WMR that don't create very much chamber pressure. In conclusion, unless you intend to handload, you can get away without paying attention to which type of centerfire primer a cartridge has!

A: Hi Rob. Stripper clips are intended to be a discarded item when they are used, however I have used these many times over and over. There are two small brass tabs that hold the ammo on the clip, and as long as these are unbroken, you can use the clip. It is not uncommon for me to use these 6-8 times.

A: Yes, they will work just fine. These are "magnetic" rounds so if you are planning to shoot them at a range, you will want to make sure they allow magnetic ammunition.

A: Absolutely. That 1-9 twist will work well with ammo all the way up to 69gr. This ammo will work quite well for you.

A: I have bought many of these cans. They will come with the 14 boxes of 3 stripper clips with 10 rounds per stripper clip per box and 2 of the magazine adapters to facilitate loading them into the magazine
