A: Thanks for reaching out Richard! Now, based on what you've told me, I can't be sure whether your grandfather's Colt is chambered for 32 S&W (aka 32 S&W Short) or 32 S&W Long. That said, a 32 S&W Long revolver can safely fire weaker 32 S&W ammo as well. That means you'll be able to fire this ammo just fine either way.

A: Hello Dominique! The ammo on this page should function correctly in your Clerke 1st. You could also try Remington's Performance WheelGun ammo: luckygunner.com/32-s-w-88-gr-lrn-remington-performance-wheelgun-50-rounds. Just make sure you order 32 S&W and not 32 S&W Long, and you ought to be all right.

A: Hi Brandon. Most of those old break tops do fire the .32 SW round but as always, if there is any doubt, please consult a gunsmith to make sure!
